Q: I don't have paintball gear what will I need?
A: We have everything you will need to participate. We rent semi-automatic paintball markers, goggles, paint pods and even sell the ammo! other than that, We suggest long-sleeved shirts, hoodies in colder weather and long pants, preferably ones that you don't mind washing once you get home. If you're playing correctly...you'll get really dirty. Also consider your footwear for the season. Military boots, hiking boots, and softball cleats are great choices but a decent pair of worn-in sneakers is fine in most cases.
Q: Does paintball hurt?
A: Excalibur Staff takes pride in having very high quality paint that breaks on your opponent and we also chronograph *(speed radar) every paintball marker that enters our field of play. Adrenaline is a key ingredient to this experience and while your adrenaline is up and your heart rate is accelerated...in most cases, you won't even know you are marked! We like to say that when you are marked with a paintball, it is just enough to get your attention and you can call yourself out.
Q: What if I have questions during the game?
A: Excalibur Paintball staff is VERY noticeable at all of our events and the community of paintballers that may be at the field you will also find very helpful. Just let them know you are new and ask your question....you'll be surprised at the assistance you get.
Q: I bought some paint from another store/field can I shoot it at Excalibur Paintball?
A: ONLY ON CERTAIN DAYS! Please check our calendar of events for what days you can BYOP (Bring Your Own Paint) If you are shooting "Non-Excalibur Paint" on an "Field Paint Only" day/event...you may be asked to leave.
Q: Who can play paintball?
A: Everyone who is of capable, follows safety rules, is in good health and has reached the age of 10 years. All participants are required to sign a waiver, minors will need a parent or guardian to sign a waiver. Girls, Boys, Men, Women, young, older.....you'll see players from all walks of life at the paintball field! And nothing is cooler than the local girls or kids taking out a squad of ex-armed forces at our Castle Fortress! Although we have an underlying request that you have a serious appetite for fun to play at Excalibur!
